2D SHAPES IN THE ENVIRONMENT - SORTING PICTURE GAME

2D shape sorting game. Match the shaped objects to the correct shape name! Includes circles, triangles, squares and rectangles.

Why not expand the game to place ‘real world’ objects on the correct shape card. Perhaps some real world objects are made up of more than one shape? You may like to add this investigation as an extension to the game provided.

Great for giving children a broader understanding of what e.g. a ‘triangle’ is and how the mathematical shape translates to objects around us in the ‘real world’.
