3D SHAPES IN THE ENVIRONMENT - DRAW
Sheets designed to inspire children to look around them and find 3D shapes in the environment. Once a ‘real world’ item is found which has a particular shape within it (cone, sphere, cuboid, cube or cylinder), children may be encouraged to make marks on the appropriate sheet to represent it.
Designed to inspire children to investigate the basic 3D shapes everywhere.
Great for giving children a broader understanding of what e.g. a ‘sphere’ is and how the mathematical shape translates to objects around us in the ‘real world’.
Original artwork drawn by Sara Murphy and final digital resources created by Stuart Murphy. COPYRIGHT ON ALL OF THE RESOURCES HOUSED ON THIS WEBSITE IS HELD BY ‘LITTLE OWLS RESOURCES’. OUR RESOURCES (INCLUDING THE IMAGES WITHIN THEM), CANNOT BE SHARED OR SOLD COMMERCIALLY.
