MY SPACE ADVENTURE - BOOKLET
This booklet is intended as an extension to space themed role-play.
Either before or after space themed play children may enjoy mark making/drawing/writing about their experiences. Perhaps they may explore a really cold planet and draw what they think it looks like. What things might they really need on their trip to this planet? Perhaps they could experiment with some emergent writing to create a list of these things or labels?
At the top of each inner page there is a box for you or the children to write the day number. This will aid in the development of number recognition, formation and ordering.
The porthole images to the top right of the pages may simply be interpreted as decoration, however they could also be used as inspiration as to what you may be exploring that day!

ASTRONAUT LETTERS AND SOUNDS GAME - PHASE 2 & 3 PHONICS
Help your astronaut to get back to the spaceship with this fun and engaging Letters and Sounds game.
Two different boards to choose from - one for Phase 2 Sounds and another for Phase 3 Sounds. Dice required.
Children choose an astronaut to place at the start, roll the dice and move the appropriate number of sound squares towards the spaceship. When they land on a sound square they can practise saying the sound. Have fun!

Extension game boards included for learning about '1 more' and '1 less'. Why not use these in conjunction with one of our number line displays to visually represent 1 more and 1 less by moving left and right along the line displayed on your wall? Or use our Space themed 100 square.
In addition, if you would like to incorporate shape recognition into the game...6 sets of different 2D shapes are included for you to use as counters.
