UEFA Women’s Euro 2025

The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is the 14th edition of the UEFA Women's European Championship, a premier international football tournament organised by UEFA for women's national teams across Europe. Scheduled from 2nd to 27th July 2025, the tournament will be hosted by Switzerland for the first time.

📍 Host Nation and Venues

Switzerland will stage the competition across eight cities, each featuring one stadium:

  • Basel – St. Jakob-Park (opening match and final)

  • Zurich – Letzigrund Stadium

  • Geneva – Stade de Genève

  • Bern – Stadion Wankdorf

  • Lucerne – Swissporarena

  • St. Gallen – Kybunpark

  • Sion – Stade de Tourbillon

  • Thun – Stockhorn Arena

⚽ Tournament Format

The tournament features 16 teams, divided into four groups (A–D) of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages, comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.

🏆 Defending Champions and Notable Teams

England enters the tournament as the defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2022. The competition will also feature other prominent teams such as France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden, promising a highly competitive tournament.

⚙️ Innovations and Mascot

  • Match Ball: The official match ball, named KONEKTIS, incorporates Connected Ball Technology to enhance VAR accuracy.

  • Mascot: The tournament's mascot is Maddli, a Saint Bernard puppy named after Swiss football pioneer Madeleine Boll.
